Research Interest We are interested in how visual information is represented and analyzed in the brain, especially the roles of functional maps in such processes. We use multiple techniques, including optical imaging, electrophysiology, histology, 2-photon imaging, and image analysis in addressing these questions. Current research topics include: 1. The functional role of visual motion sensitive neurons in the ventral pathway. 2. Binocular vision and visual awareness, including binocular rivalry and binocular disparity. 3. The function of functional maps in the brain. |
